Ray Martinez has served his hometown of Fort Collins for 30+ years: in the police
department, building a bridge with the Hispanic community (1974–1996), as mayor
(1999–2005), and as a city councilman since 2015. He has published thirteen books,
including a memoir, Baby Boy-R, about finding his biological mother when he was 54.
He previously hosted a weekly radio talk show on KFKA, in Greeley, and he presides
on several boards state and locally.
