I've written six full-length works of poetry and prose. Sometimes people describe me as a poet, and at other times as a hybrid writer. Perhaps what feels right to me, or like a home, is the context of diasporic writing.  How do you write yourself out of one life and into another?  And then: how do you write yourself home?

People should talk to me about...failure and possibility, sentences, what's beneath sentences, and what it feels like in the space between books, where there are images and sensations, but no form as yet .Is the book an entity or a gesture? What is it like to write a book that's still arriving, even as it's being written?
