UPDATE: I've turned the presentation into a blog post.

It's been said
artificial intelligence (AI) might be the biggest technological leap since the Internet. From self-driving cars to identifying hotdogs in photos, machine learning (a subset of AI) gives us a way to solve problems we can't with traditional algorithms.

How do you break into this exciting new world? From the outside, machine learning seems confined to PhDs. Are you confined to watch from bench without a doctorate? I don't think so! In this presentation, I'll introduce you to applied machine learning, discuss some approachable problems machine learning can solve, work through a "hello world" ML problem, and share my favorite resources to get your feet wet.

In short, if you have a FOMO for machine learning, don't fret. I'll help you get started.

Here are the resources I mentioned during the presentation to get you going:

Hands-On Machine Learning with Scikit-Learn and TensorFlow
* Fort Collins Data Science Meetup
* Intro to ML Blog Post
